3G iPhone costs £88 to make

Market intelligence firm iSuppli has calculated that the new 3G Apple iPhone costs just $173 (around £88) to manufacture, making it considerably cheaper to produce than the HTC Touch Diamond (estimated at $785) and the Nokia N96 ($855). iSuppli says the iPhone's components cost $164, with an estimated $9 for assembly.
