Over 800 million consumers to use mobile banking by 2011

More figures from Juniper Research. These forecast that 816 million customers will be using mobile banking services by 2011 - as long as the industry sorts out financial regulation, transaction costs, revenue share and customer support. The annual number of global mobile banking transactions is expected to rise from 2.7 billion in 2007 to 37 billion by 2011, led by the China/Far East region followed by Western Europe and the Indian sub-continent.
